Ashdon School Remembers

The school was visited on Tuesday by relatives of Elizabeth Everitt who was awarded the Albert medal inP1020006 1944 after bravely saving a pilot from a crashed aircraft in Ashdon.

Elizabeth returned to the plane to try and save further injured airman, although tragically the damaged aircraft exploded, killing her and the pilot.

Around the school hall are photos and reports of the lives of servicemen and women who are related to the children of the school. This is a fantastic tribute to all those who serve their country.
