After eating our cooked breakfast, we set out to West Runton beach to see coastal erosion first hand. We started by looking through the rock pools before looking on the beach for fossils. We have been really lucky with the weather today, with sunshine and clouds all day (the 1 downpour came whilst we were eating our dinner).
The coach then took us back to the centre where we ate our lunch before heading out on the monster trail. The children had to use maps and compasses to locate clues in the grounds of Felbrigg Hall. However, some of the local ‘wildlife’, that just happened to be hiding in the woodlands with super-soaker guns, jumped out, giving some of the children the frights of their lives! Despite this, we all survived – some of us were just a little bit wetter! A few though were exhausted from all this excitement (see the photos).
In the evening, following dinner, we headed out to a local bowling alley. The children really encouraged each other and everyone had a lovely time. Plus, Mr Rance won overall, despite a late surge from Mrs Allen!
Tomorrow we are off to find traces of a mammoth!
