AYLMERTON PIRATE DAY

On Thursday 12th October, Class 4 had their pirate day.

Firstly, when we got there we dressed up as pirates and everyone got a harness for later on. We were split into groups for the activities ahead.

We were then told to go to a certain activity with a certain leader. The activities were:

HIGH ROPES

DEN BUILDING

SHIP WRECK ZIP WIRE

PLANK PUZZLE

After all the activities and lunch we went on a treasure hunt in 2 different groups, both racing to be the quickest to find the code to open the treasure chest.

In the treasure chest there was Gold Chocolate coins to eat.

After that, we had a break on the agility course while waiting for the coach to arrive to take us back to Patterson Lodge for our

DISCO.

Our favourite activity was the high ropes because it was a challenge, it tested our balance- some of us tried to walk on a log without holding onto our harness. A high rope is an obstacle course in the air, where you face challenges, attached to a harness so you don’t fall.

This was one of the best days on our trip.
