Friendship Assembly

Gavin from the Baptist Church visited us last week and led an assembly on the importance of friendship and having friends to support you. The photograph shows one of the children being carried in a duvet by their friends past obstacles.

Let’s get ready to crumble!

Year R and Year 1 went on Safari last week and picked blackberries. Those that weren’t eaten on the journey home (!) were then used in a blackberry and apple crumble they made on Monday this week. Having personally sampled the end result, I can say it was delicious!

Science in Y5 & 6

Class 4 have begun their topic of materials by looking at their properties and comparing different the materials for their flexibility, hardness, permeability, magnetism and transparency.

Class 1 harvesting vegetables.

In our first week back at school, Class 1 harvested corn on the cob, tomatoes and a courgette from our vegetable garden. Mrs Mack cooked the corn on the cob for Friday’s dinners and the tomatoes were on the salad bar on Thursday and Friday.

From Farm to Fork!

Our vegetable patch is overflowing at present thanks to Class 1 and Miss Foote’s parents. We have had such a great harvest that Mrs. Osborne, the cook, has been able to extend what we can offer on the salad bar at lunchtime. Excellent work Class 1

Super Stan!

What a fabulous performance the KS2 children put on yesterday! Congratulations to all involved – I thought the singing and dancing was brilliant. Thank you to Sarah Clark and all the helpers for producing such a memorable event.

Musicians in Assembly

It was lovely to hear both Harry on the piano and the string group in assembly on Friday. Thank you to Mrs Clark for organising this – we look forward to hearing more talented stars next week!

Friday Assembly 5/7/19

There were a number of children awarded stickers and wristbands in assembly on Friday. We also had quite a few who were achieving out of school, with running and swimming awards. Well done to everyone!
