Woodland Trust activities

Last week House Captains and Vice Captains gathered words, from children in their houses, to describe friendship. They wrote these on coloured strips of material which they then hung from our ‘Friendship Tree’ (The Yew tree in our front garden). In assembly children discussed how the tree could symbolise friendship – protecting, providing for us.

On Safari they had a picnic under The Millennium Oak in Ashdon, where Year 1 and R ate blackberry and apple muffins and enjoyed the shelter the tree offered us.
