We believe it is important for our children to wear uniform. It increases the feeling of belonging to our school. It reduces difficulties that arise out of children wanting to wear specific items to school that may not be appropriate.
We strive to provide a good quality uniform that is affordable and that is available from a variety of outlets.
Our school uniform is navy blue sweatshirts, sweaters or cardigans with a pale blue Polo shirt or blouse. These are teamed with navy blue or grey skirts, pinafores, trousers or tailored shorts. Please not jeans, jogging bottoms, combat trousers or beach wear. Socks should be plain dark blue, grey, black or white. Tights should be plain dark blue, grey or black. Pale blue and white summer dresses may also be worn. We request that children wear shoes rather than trainers for everyday school wear and that sandals should be a dark colour with no open toed styles. This last is particularly due to health & safety concerns.
For PE children will need a blue PE polo shirt, dark blue football style shorts if possible (not cycling or ¾ length), a change of socks and trainers or plimsolls. A tracksuit may be worn for outdoor activities during the colder months.
All kit should be clearly named and kept in a named drawstring bag.
If children have long hair it should always be tied back. No jewellery should be worn other than a practical watch and simple stud earrings which must be removed for PE. Nail varnish should not be worn.
All school uniform items can be purchased online from Price & Buckland
The following are available from the school office: PE bags, book bags and water bottles.
For those who go swimming a costume, towel and swimming hat will be needed.
When the children are working in the hall they have bare feet so trainers or plimsolls are for outside use.
